Jr. wins at Phoenix!
11/7/04
- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 8 Budweiser team won their sixth race of the season and second in a row at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, leading 118 of 315 laps to win the Checker Auto Parts 500k. Ryan Newman finished second and Jeff Gordon third.

- Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 8 Budweiser team appeared destined for a top-five finish, but a backstretch accident 15 laps from the finish resulted in a 33rd-place finish and fourth DNF of the year.
